Fundraise

There are lots of different ways you can raise money and have fun – running a marathon, baking cakes, opening your garden or ‘dressing down for dyslexia’.

Whether you want to join in with us or organise your own activities we would love to hear from you. Our team are here to help!

We can offer support and advice and send promotional materials such as leaflets, posters and collection tins.

If you need more information or would like to have a chat about your ideas, just give the Fundraising Team a call on 01252 792400 or email [email protected]

Take part in a challenge

Charity challenges are a great way to achieve an incredible personal goal and support Helen Arkell Dyslexia Charity.

These can also be brilliant team building opportunities for groups of work colleagues whilst supporting a fantastic cause.

We would be immensely grateful if you took part in a challenge for us.

Organise your own fundraising activity

Organising a fundraising event or activity, big or small, will raise vital awareness and funds for Helen Arkell.

You will have your own skills and interests, and using these will make your fundraising manageable and fun, but here are a few ideas if you are looking for inspiration:

• Film night
• Dining for Dyslexia
• Cake sale/bake off
• Quiz
• Football tournament
• Dress down day at school/work
• Open gardens
• Teddy bears picnic

Join in with a Helen Arkell event

We have several events throughout the year which help us raise funds and awareness.   Join us for our Annual Golf Day at Liphook Golf Course, Christmas Drinks or sign up for our e-newsletter for the latest event updates.

During Dyslexia Awareness Week there will be opportunities to join events and also raise awareness in your community.

Community Fundraising

Talks If you are part of a Rotary Club, WI, or any kind of community group that meets regularly you might want to consider inviting Helen Arkell along to give you a talk.  Our enthusiastic team can speak passionately about the charity, the work we do and our history.

Charity of the Year If your company, club, group or school run such a scheme you could adopt Helen Arkell.  We can offer ideas for fun and engaging ways to raise funds for us as well as providing promotional materials.

Collection Tins You could help us get our Helen Arkell Dyslexia Charity collection tins out into the community – on office reception desks, in shops, at the gym, on pub counters… If you are able to offer a home to one of our tins, please call us on 01252 792400 or email [email protected]

Sponsor an Event Another way to show your support is to sponsor one of our events.  We are currently looking for sponsors for our Golf Day, Christmas Drinks, Graduation and Summer Open Day.
