ACADEMIC SUPPORT & EAL TEACHER
Required for September 2019
Reddam House Berkshire wishes to recruit a peripatetic, part-time teacher to support our students with the acquisition of English, both when English is a second, or alternative language, and for those for whom English is their first language but require additional support to help them succeed.
There may be flexibility in the hours worked to suit the ideal candidate, to facilitate school picks ups or other personal arrangements. Initially it is likely to be the equivalent of 4 hours per week, but this is envisaged to grow to a maximum of 3 days per week, within the first year, should this be attractive to the post holder.
The EAL position is likely to involve working with our youngest students, in our Junior School. The Academic Support role could be across Junior and Middle School, up to and including Year 9.
This position is a self-employed, peripatetic position. The post holder would receive an hourly payment for lessons taught, to include any planning or reporting time. Lesson costs would be invoiced to the school who would seek reimbursement from the parents. Payment for services would be made by the school.
