Come and join our Dyslexia Support Group, 7pm -8.30pm, at our Centre on the following dates:
9th January - demystifying an assessment report with Katherine Plowden Roberts, Head of Assessment at Helen Arkell
6th February - advice on boosting self-esteem with Claire Hughes, Helen Arkell consultant for parents and schools
13th March - we will be discussing dyslexia in the workplace with Paul Cowell, who runs his own landscape design and construction company. Paul is also a Trustee at Helen Arkell.
3rd April - discussion group
15th May - Sally Marshall, one of the Helen Arkell tutors, will be sharing her top tips for supporting your child with maths. Sally, who is herself dyslexic, will also be sharing her experiences of the education system both as a student and teacher.
5th June - thanks to the team at Nessy Learning this hands on session will be exploring Nessy Reading & Spelling, Nessy Fingers, Nessy Numbers, Writing Beach, Dyslexia Quest and Dyslexia Training.
This is a new group to bring parents and anyone else with an interest in dyslexia together to share experiences, hear from inspirational speakers and listen to some useful topics around the subject of Dyslexia. Everyone welcome!
