Salary: Competitive and dependent upon experience

Are you a champion of inclusion who also knows their metaphors from their metonymy? We’re on the hunt for a Deputy SENDCo who’s as in a pupil progress meeting as they are quoting Shakespeare—or maybe even rewriting him for differentiated learning!
The Role:
You’ll be the right-hand hero to our SENDCo, helping to lead our inclusive learning strategy across the school, while also inspiring KS4 students with engaging English lessons (bonus points if you can make *Of Mice and Men* feel like a thriller and *Macbeth* less
murder-y and more memorable). If you can also throw in some support for the sports department, you’ll be a great all-rounder.
You’ll need:
- A big heart, a sharp mind, and a sense of humour.
- Experience supporting neurodiverse students and a working knowledge of the Code of Practice.
- The ability to teach English to KS4 pupils with gusto (and maybe a bit of glitter).
Desirable:
- NSENDCo, NPQSENDCo Qualification or willingness to acquire
- Level 7 Exam Access arrangements qualification or equivalent
We offer:
- A forward-thinking, supportive team who love a good CPD and an even better biscuit.
- Students who are curious, complex, and capable of greatness.
- Opportunities to grow into wider leadership roles (cape optional).
If you’re organised, optimistic, and occasionally inspired by alliteration, we’d love to hear from you.
Let’s make education a little more inclusive—and a little more exciting—together
