The Big Walk for Dyslexia is back!

Get your boots on and join us for a ramble through the beautiful Frensham countryside.
Your support is needed now more than ever and we would love you to join us for this year’s sponsored walk on Sunday 22 May 2022.
Any sponsorship you raise will enable us to continue providing our specialist support to children and adults with dyslexia and other specific learning difficulties. Download a sponsorship form or set up an online fundraising page. There’s also a fantastic prize for the most sponsorship raised by a child (under 18).

The Ramble
The route takes us past the meandering River Wey along beautiful countryside paths to the sandy heathland and scattered woodland surrounding Frensham Little Pond.
The route is mainly flat with short hilly sections giving stunning views over the heathland and both Frensham Little and Great Ponds. There are one or two stiles to be crossed, which would make the route difficult for wheelchair-users or people of limited mobility.
The walk is suitable for families and dogs with the option of a shorter route.

Where: Starting and finishing at the Helen Arkell Dyslexia Charity, Frensham, Farnham. GU10 3BL.
Time: Allocated start time between 10am and 11am.
Registration: Costs £5 per person to cover administration costs. Children under 12 and dogs go free!
Sponsorship: Suggested minimum sponsorship of £20 per adult, optional for children. There will be a prize for the highest sponsorship achieved by a child (under 18).
Route: Family and dog friendly 10K (6 miles) walk from our Centre via Frensham Little Pond, returning to the start point and taking around 2 1/2 hours. There will also be an alternative shorter route of 6km (3.5 miles) which will take approximately 1 1/2 hours.
Plus: Tea, coffee and cake at the Centre at the end of the walk.
