We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate learning support assistant to join our expanding individual needs department. We are inviting applications for full or part time positions.

Working in the senior school, as a learning support assistant you will work closely with teachers to provide tailored support to pupils in lessons. You will assist in creating an inclusive classroom environment, ensuring that every student can access the curriculum and engage in all school activities to the best of their ability.
The successful candidate will have previous experience of working with children with SpLD and other individual needs in a senior school setting, ideally with a qualification related to learning support. They will have a strong understanding of the role of learning support, excellent communication skills and be prepared to work hard with energy and enthusiasm. An empathetic and understanding approach towards students with special educational needs is a must.

ACCESS ARRANGEMENTS COORDINATOR

We are seeking a highly organised and detail-orientated access arrangements coordinator to join our expanding individual needs department. This is a part -time, term time only position working 27.5 hours per week over 4 or 5 days.

As the access arrangements coordinator, you will oversee the entire process for managing access arrangements in line with JCQ regulations. This includes organising assessments, liaising with specialist assessors, and ensuring that all necessary paperwork and evidence is in place for applications to exam boards. You will work closely with teaching staff, the exams office, and external professionals to ensure that every student receives the appropriate adjustments and that all regulations are adhered to
The successful candidate will have excellent attention to detail, be highly organised and able to prioritise a diverse workload. A strong understanding of JCQ regulations relating to access arrangements would be advantageous, however training can be provided. An empathetic and understanding approach towards students with special educational needs is a must.

SPECIALIST TEACHER

We are seeking a qualified and dedicated specialist teacher to join our expanding individual needs department. We are inviting applications for full or part time positions.
At Claremont Fan Court School, we are committed to creating an inclusive environment where every student is empowered to achieve their full potential. The Individual needs department is a cornerstone of this mission, working with a range of learners to provide tailored support.
Working in the senior school, you will provide tailored support to pupils with specific learning difficulties, or other individual needs, on an individual or small group basis to support literacy and study skills. If you hold a level 7 qualification (or equivalent in assessment) you may also be involved in the formal assessment of pupils for access arrangements.
The successful candidate will possess a good honours degree along with a qualification for teaching pupils with SpLD at either level 5 or level 7. They will have proven experience as a specialist teacher working with children in years 7 to 11 and be able to understand and offer further explanation of the subjects taken by pupils up to GCSE level. An empathetic and understanding approach towards students with special educational needs is a must.
