This is an online course. You will be sent Zoom joining details during the Thursday before each Friday session, check your junk box if you have not received the joining details by 4pm on Thursdays.

This is a very practical course for teachers, teaching assistants or anyone supporting learners with dyslexia or Specific Learning Difficulties in KS3/4. You will be shown lots of useful, tried and tested strategies to enable you to support learners effectively.

The course comprises six three-hour sessions on Fridays 9.30 am – 12.30pm online:

Session 1 on 17 April  Overview of Dyslexia and SpLDs
Session 2 on 24 April  Introduction to Phonological Awareness and Phonics 
Session 3 on 1 May  Learning Preferences and Multi-sensory Teaching
Session 4 on 8 May  Reading Accuracy and Comprehension
Session 5 on 15 May  Spelling and Writing
Session 6 on 22 May  Numeracy

Book all the sessions together or individual sessions to suit your needs. Each session is accredited 3 hours of CPD, you will receive a certificate at the end of the course listing the sessions you completed and your number of CPD hours.

There will be a recording sent out after each session so that you can watch if you booked and could not attend the live session, or if you would like to watch again! If you would like access to a session that has already happened, please still book that particular session and we will send you a recording instead.

There are no assignments to complete outside of sessions.
