Join award‑winning educator and international speaker Dr Susie Nyman for an energising session on transforming reluctant writers into confident creative writers and storytellers. Drawing on her renowned multi‑sensory teaching approach, Susie demonstrates how colour, texture, movement, props, and narrative structure can unlock creativity and support learners – especially those with dyslexia – to express their ideas with clarity and enthusiasm. Packed with practical strategies, this session will equip educators and parents with fresh tools to make writing accessible, engaging, and joyful for all children.

Dr Susie Nyman is an award‑winning educator, international speaker, podcaster, and specialist in multi‑sensory teaching. Passionate about understanding how young people learn, she has dedicated her career to supporting students – particularly those with SEND and predominately dyslexia to achieve their full potential.

Susie began teaching A Level Biology at The Sixth Form College Farnborough in 1995, later becoming Curriculum Manager for Health and Social Care, a role she held until retiring from classroom teaching in 2025. Her creative, inclusive methods have been widely shared through her CPD training, conference talks, and exam board work, as well as through filmed demonstrations with the British Dyslexia Association and Oaka Books.

She has written for BBC Bitesize, The British Dyslexia Association, and SEN Magazine, and her innovative strategies are published in Oaka Books’ Multi‑Sensory Toolkit and How to Become a Grade Riser. In recognition of nearly three decades of service, Susie received the prestigious Pearson Lifetime Achievement Award – an honour she holds with immense pride.

To conclude an unbelievable 30 years at The Sixth Form College, Farnborough Susie was invited to attend an education Royal Party at Buckingham Palace in May 2025.
