How do I know if I’m dyslexic?
Diagnostic assessments
To find out for sure if you have dyslexia you will need to arrange a diagnostic assessment with a certified assessor.
An assessment will help you understand your strengths, and why you may be experiencing difficulties in your day-to-day life. Recommendations will be made to help you move forwards and this will help you understand the benefits of thinking differently.
It may also help with discussions about appropriate reasonable adjustments in the workplace. Dyslexia is covered by the Equality Act 2010, if a formal diagnosis is in place. Education institutions and the workplace have a duty to make reasonable adjustments for people with dyslexia.
