Bev works as a tutor on the Helen Arkell Level 5 Specialist Teaching Diploma course and privately as a specialist teacher for learners in primary and secondary school. She is passionate about teaching in a creative and multisensory way and enjoys supporting learners with dyslexia and other SpLDs in reaching their potential through fun, engaging, and active lessons.
Bev has worked as a Primary School teacher throughout her career and has held many different roles within schools, such as Literacy Coordinator, Early Years lead teacher, Deputy Head, and Intervention teacher. She has always had a special interest in teaching reading and writing and finding creative and imaginative ways of helping learners succeed. She decided to focus her career on supporting learners who experience barriers to their learning and completed her Level 5 Diploma and Level 7 Specialist Assessor Diploma at Helen Arkell.
