Touch typing is such a useful and lifelong skill – especially if handwriting is a struggle. These sessions are for children who have previously attended our ‘Touch Typing for Children’ introductory course (or equivalent) and are looking to further develop their touch typing skills.
- Developing touch typing for mixed ages.
- Three-day course taught in daily one-and-a-half-hour sessions from Wednesday 18th – Friday 20th February 2026. All students will attend all 3 days.
- All students must bring own laptop/tablet with a keyboard or keyboard function. Wi-Fi is available for devices that require this for access. Plenty of charging ports are available.
- Learners will recap position of letters on keyboard using multi-sensory techniques
- Plenty of opportunity for repetition and over learning in these fun interactive sessions to encourage greater fluency with typing
- By end of the three days learners will have practised letter keys, simple punctuation and number keys
- Short homework tasks after each session to consolidate skills
- Sessions should be backed up by regular practise at home to promote automaticity
- Upon completion of the course, learners should have recapped on their knowledge of the keyboard and improved on their accuracy and speed typing.
“I thin
k that the course is pretty good because now I’m a lot better at typing than I first was. It is also an effective way of learning.” (AB who attended ‘Introduction to Touch Typing’)
“They both found it practical, useful and came out happy at the end of it.” (Parent of children who attended ‘Introduction to Touch Typing’)
