This book contains structured syllable games and exercises that have been devised to develop pupils’ skills in reading, writing and spelling within an integrated programme to improve standards of literacy. It can be used from the reception year to early secondary school levels to reinforce these skills in an enjoyable way during daily literacy lessons.
The activities provide reinforcement when learning and practice for all pupils, identifying those who have early difficulties in reading and spelling. The activities in ‘Phonological Awareness’ and ‘Alphabet Sequencing’ (‘Learning can be fun!’ Books 0 & 1) can be introduced at the same time.
