Katrina Cochrane

Katrina is the Founder and Director of Positive Dyslexia Ltd, a specialist neurodiversity training, assessment, and consultancy organisation. Starting as a secondary English teacher she holds a PGCE. Having studied for her Postgraduate Diploma in Dyslexia and Literacy she went on to attain her MA in SEN. Along with a current APC and AMBDA accreditations she is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts (FRSA).
Previously Head of Education and Policy and interim Director of Education at the British Dyslexia Association, she has spent her career championing a strengths-based approach to dyslexia and neurodiversity, delivering accredited training, conducting specialist assessments, and organising national conferences that bring together leading voices in the field.
Katrina is delighted to bring this expertise to her role as a Trustee, supporting the charity’s mission with her passion for inclusive education and her commitment to helping neurodivergent individuals thrive. Together with another HADC Trustee Dr Jennie Guise she has co-edited the 4th edition of the Special Educational Needs Journal that is due to be published in January 2027.
