Trustee

Peter joined the Trustees in 2018 towards the end of a 37-year career in Oil and Gas Exploration, mostly spent with BP. During this time, he has held a variety of roles that involved the application of leading-edge geoscience technology as well as the management of people. He has worked closely with experts in Commercial, Human Resources, Engineering and Research Technology to deliver numerous projects across the international oil business. He has been resident in England, Scotland, Australia and Trinidad and worked with many different cultures ranging from the Americas to Europe, Asia and Africa. Most recently he has been a member of BP’s global subsurface assurance team.
Peter is married with two grown-up children and enjoys getting outdoors to play golf, football and going hiking, but he can also be found at home attempting to restore furniture, frame pictures and reading a variety of fiction, fantasy and history.
