Join us for a screening of The Dyslexic Advantage, a new film that explores the strengths that power creativity and discovery. The film is poised to reshape public understanding of dyslexia and moves beyond the usual narrative of struggle to highlight one of the world’s most prevalent learning difference as a powerful engine for creativity, problem-solving, and discovery. Produced by the non-profit organisation Dyslexic Advantage, the film argues that the unique cognitive wiring of dyslexic individuals – who make up nearly one in five people – has been a driving force behind some of humanity’s greatest achievements in science, art, and entrepreneurship.

Fernette Eide holding a model brainThe Dyslexic Advantage movie showcases the strengths of dyslexic minds through stories of innovators, artists, storytellers, and inventors. Blending science, animation, and powerful personal narratives, it challenges stereotypes and celebrates diverse ways of thinking.  The movie also touches on many the early social and emotional challenges that young people face when they are in school.

Our presenter, Fernette Eide, is CEO of Dyslexic Advantage and one of the executive producers of the movie. Fernette will join us at the end of the screening to answer any questions.
