Description

– This is a 1-hour recorded session on-demand –

In this session you will see how the Intelligence and Development Scales – 2nd Edition (IDS-2) can be used in a flexible and holistic way to assess individuals who may have specific learning difficulties. There will be an overview of how the test battery is structured and why, but the main focus will be on its strengths for assessing the areas of cognition and attainment that are most relevant for identifying dyslexia. This will be in the context of the Delphi definition of dyslexia and the new SASC guidelines for assessing and reporting. The IDS-2 has many hands-on materials, which can make it interesting and enjoyable for both the assessor and the test-taker. Sarah Sainty will introduce the online scoring and there will be a chance to see how this works.

Our presenter, Sarah Sainty, is an Assessment Consultant for Hogrefe and is a highly experienced assessor. She enjoys using the IDS-2 and will explain the wealth of information it yields.

The IDS-2 is available for purchase from Hogrefe and there is a current discount available when purchased through them here. We give thanks to Hogrefe for this presentation.
