This CPD course is targeted at specialist assessors who are familiar with administering the WIAT-IIIUK-T and would like to understand the additional areas of testing offered by the WIAT-IIIUK. The course will cover:

  • An overview of the WIAT-IIIUK
  • A comparison of the test materials in both versions
  • A comparison of the subtests offered in both versions
  • A recap of the administration of existing key subtests
  • Guidance on administration of the new subtests in the WIAT-IIIUK in areas of language, reading, spelling, writing and maths

Please note that this session was recorded prior to the recent report format guidance from SASC and the updated STEC list.

Helen Barrett

This course is presented by Helen Barrett, an experienced dyslexia specialist working at the Helen Arkell Dyslexia Charity. Helen works as a tutor on the Level 7 professional training course and as a specialist assessor. She has also delivered numerous Inset training sessions for schools and presents the HELP! Course for parents.

The ‘Accessing the Recording’ document contains a link to a very short Zoom registration form. Once completed, you will be granted automatic access to the recording.  To start watching, you will need the passcode which will be listed in the ‘Accessing the Recording’ document.

You can now go ahead and view the recording. You can view the recording more than once by clicking the same link you used to register.
