We are looking to welcome two new Learning Support Assistants (LSAs) to our friendly and dynamic team to work with pupils who have Special Educational Needs and Disabilities, some of whom may be in receipt of an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP).

This is an exciting opportunity to join our busy Study Centre team, within the supportive Kingswood House School environment.

To any interested teachers or learning assistants. Experience supporting a child with ASD is preferable but not essential.

Job Description:
• Provide 1:1 support for a child during lessons both on the carpet and during independent tasks. This will be focused on English and written activities.
• Provide support with sensory routines and following OT and SaLT programmes.
Key duties:
• Provide 1:1 support in lessons.
• Build a rapport and develop a positive relationship with the child.
• Use differentiated resources as provided by the class teacher/ SENCO / OT/ SaLT modifying as appropriate.
• Work closely with the class teacher/ SENCo to ensure the child meets their individual targets.
• Follow the school’s safeguarding policy and support the ethos of the school.
Person specification:
• Engaging, warm and empathetic person required.
• Ability to be proactive, organised, and with good interpersonal and communication skills
• Experience of working with children aged 4- 8 is preferable.

This role is for 3 to 4 half days a week (Monday, Tuesday and Thursday morning and Wednesday afternoon) for approximately 3 hours each morning.

The Merlin School is a small, nurturing pre-prep school in Putney, and is currently looking for someone to join our SEN team and provide some 1:1 support lessons a couple of times a week. Days and times can be flexible and are to be arranged with the school.
The successful candidate will have the following skills and attributes:
• To be enthusiastic and empathetic, with the ability to build a good rapport with learners.
• To plan and teach creative and engaging lessons, individually tailored to the needs of learners.
