Pulling your hair out trying to help your children and pupils master those times tables? Do they get it one day and forget the next? This Spotlight webinar with Marlene Caplan will explore different ‘ways in’ to help children and adolescents learn more of those times tables facts.
About Marlene
Marlene is an Educational Psychologist and Specialist Teacher. She has been a Tutor on the Level 7 Diploma in Teaching and Assessing Learners with Dyslexia/ SpLDs course for many years. She has extensive teaching and assessment experience across the age span. Before joining HADC, Marlene served as a SENCo and Specialist Teacher. She also worked in an academic capacity at Yale University and the Institute of Education.
Marlene has co-authored resources with other Helen Arkell team members, including Anyone Can Spell It: A Guidebook for Teachers and Parents and the Helen Arkell Spelling Test-2. In 2021, she published the Guidebook: Just in Time(s): Times Tables Tips and Tricks When the Usual Methods Just Don’t Stick which she will discuss during the session.
Accessing our on-demand courses

When you purchase an on-demand course, you will receive an automated email from us with various links (make sure to check your junk box!). Pressing the links under the heading Download will allow you to download 1. the course handout(s) and 2. an ‘Accessing the Recording’ document. You will have 1 month from date of purchase to download these documents.
The ‘Accessing the Recording’ document contains a link to a very short Zoom registration form (only 4 questions!). Once completed, you will be granted automatic access to the recording. To start watching, you will need the passcode which will be listed in the ‘Accessing the Recording’ document.
You can now go ahead and 
view the recording. Access to the recording will be available to you for a further month after registration is complete. You can view the recording more than once by clicking the same link you used to register.
