Mike qualified as a chartered accountant with Ernst & Young. After working for a few years in financial services he moved into media, mainly in live events. He has more than 20 years experience in international trade shows, theatrical productions, immersive cinema and start-ups/development projects: either as CFO or working as an adviser to investors and senior management. He is a governor of More House School in Frensham, having previously volunteered as treasurer of Cranleigh Riding for the Disabled for nearly 5 years. He is married with two grown-up children, lives near Guildford and spends much of his spare time walking in the Surrey Hills.
